A invenção refere-se a um elemento de apoio em forma de semicírculo, com uma camada de apoio (5) e uma camada de deslizamento (7), aplicada nesta, sendo que é previsto um elemento de retenção (6) sobressalente de um lado da camada de apoio (5) afastado da camada de deslizamento (7) o qual, para a fixação à prova de torção do elemento de apoio, no estado montado, encaixa em um recesso (10) devidamente configurado em uma peça da caixa do mancal (2); para simplificar a fabricação e a qualidade de montagem está sendo proposto configurar o elemento de retenção (6) de maneira poligonal em um plano de seção transversal perpendicular ao sentido radial (8) do elemento de apoio.
