Abstract
"PRODUçãO DE CETOáCIDOS". Processo aperfeiçoado de produção de cetoácidos tendo a fórmula na qual R~ 1~, e R~ 2~ representam independentemente: (a) hidrogênio, em que pelo menos um de R~ 1~, e R~ 2~ não representa hidrogênio; (b) alquila ramificada ou não-ramificada de 1 - 18 átomos de carbono, que pode ser substituída por C~ 1~ - C~ 4~ alcóxi ou 2- ou 3-tetraidrofurila; (c) uma cicloalquila de 4 - 8 átomos de carbono; (d) C~ 4~ - C~ 8~ cicloalquil - C1 - C~ 4~ alquila, ou fenila, em que ambas a cicloalquila e fenila podem ser substituídas por pelo menos um elemento selecionado do grupo consistindo em átomos de halogênio e alquilas tendo 1 - 4 átomos de carbono; (e) uma aralquila de 7 - 10 átomos de carbono; ou (f) R~ 1~ e R~ 2~ juntamente com o átomo de nitrogênio adjacente podem formar um anel heterocíclico, por reação de um m-aminofenol tendo a fórmula II com anidrido ftálico a uma temperatura elevada na ausência de um solvente orgânico, que compreende: (I) mistura de m-aminofenol II e anidrido ftálico em uma relação molar de 0,5 a 10: 1; (II) fusão da mistura da etapa 1 a uma temperatura elevada; (III) seleção de um tempo de reação na faixa de 5 minutos a 40 horas; e (IV) separação então da fase líquida da fase sólida, bem como um processo no qual um solvente é adicionado após a reação.
