Abstract

"FORMULAçõES PARA USO EM PROCEDIMENTOS MéDICOS OU DE DIAGNóSTICO". A presente invenção se refere a formulações para uso em procedimentos médicos ou diagnósticos compreendendo um agente de estabilização sozinho ou em combinação com um agente osmótico. Em uma modalidade, o agente de estabilização é um hidrocolóide natural, de preferência goma de semente de alfarroba, e o agente osmótico é um composto baseado em açúcar, de preferência manitol. A presente invenção também se refere a formulações e métodos para distensão de um segmento anatómico. A presente invenção ainda se refere a formulações e métodos para delineação de um segmento anatómico sobre uma imagem diagnóstica, por exemplo. As formulações da presente invenção são especialmente adequadas para uso com procedimentos de formação de imagem diagnóstica incluindo, mas não limitado, a formação de imagem por ressonância magnética (MR), tomografia assistida por computador (CT) e CT-PET (tomografia por emissão de Positrons), bem como outros usos médicos e terapêuticos.
