Abstract

"MéTODO PARA ENXERTO DE UM MONÈMERO INSATURADO EM UM POLISSACARìDEO E PARA A DESPOLIMERIZAçãO DO POLISSACARìDEO, POLISSACARìDEO, E, COMPOSIçãO COSMéTICA". Um método de enxerto de polímeros de polissacarídeo do tipo de galactomanana, preferivelmente guar, em um grupo funcional por irradiação com feixes de elétrons de energia alta na presença de um monómero insaturado compreendendo o grupo funcional desejado. O método pode incluir a despolimerização do polímero enxertado para um peso molecular baixo pré-selecionado. As galactomananas preferidas para o tratamento de acordo com este método são goma guar, guar nativa (guar splits) e hidróxi-propil-guar. Em uma modalidade preferida a goma guar também é despolimerizada, preferivelmente para um peso molecular menor do que cerca de 700.000 Daltons, e mais preferivelmente para um peso molecular entre cerca de 100.000 Daltons e cerca de 250.000 Daltons. O guar despolimerizado mais preferivelmente possui uma polidispersão menor do que cerca de 3,0 e é útil no fraturamento de poço de óleo para aumentar a produção de óleo.
