Abstract

"TECIDO PRENSADO ANTI-REUMEDECIMENTO". Tecido prensado anti-reumedecedor (10) para máquinas de papel e de papelão inclui uma camada de barreira (27) tal que durante a compressão no estreitamento da prensa, a água é forçada através da camada de barreira (27), mas é impedida de fluir, de volta para a teia do papel (2) durante a expansão. A camada de barreira (27) compreende um material contínuo dotado, por exemplo, de inclusões cênicas (30) quadradas, retangulares, tetraédricas, circulares ou oblongas, com uma abertura menor na parte inferior do que na parte superior da estrutura. Cada um desses 'funis' (30) efetivamente constitui uma válvula unidirecional e cria um vácuo para impedir a reabsorção da água pela folha do papel. Sob pressão, a estrutura da camada de barreira (27) permite que a água flua dentro dos cones (30) e fora da abertura menor na parte inferior. Quando da expansão, a abertura menor na parte inferior da estrutura restringe o fluxo da água para trás e cria um vácuo no outro lado. O vácuo aumenta a retenção de água no tecido da prensa (10) e impede o reumedecimento da folha de papel (24) . Outra versão da invenção é aqui descrita, em que a camada de barreira (27) existe como um tecido separado alimentado através de uma seção de prensa. Nesta versão, o 'tecido separado' pode ser apenas a própria 'folha de inclusão cónica'. Isto é, a própria folha constitui uma cinta inventiva tendo propriedades antagónicas ao reumedecimento.
