Abstract
"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA UNIR JUNTAS EXTREMIDADES DE TUBO". Um método e aparelho para unir juntas seções de tubo (102, 104) para formar uma tubulação submarina. As seções de tubo (102, 104) estão em uma posição de encontro e tem uma orientação genericamente vertical. Uma extremidade superior (108) das seções de tubo unidas mais recentemente (104) deve ser soldada a uma extremidade inferior (106) de uma nova seção de tubo (102). O aparelho compreende no mínimo dois portadores de equipamento de soldagem (148, 152) e no mínimo dois cabeçotes de soldagem (110, 112). Cada cabeçote de soldagem é conectado a um portador de equipamento (148, 152) por meio de no mínimo um umbilical (130, 132). O aparelho ainda compreende um conjunto guia de cabeçote de soldagem (113) que é adaptado para ser fixado a uma de ditas seções de tubo superior e tubo inferior. O conjunto guia de cabeçote de soldagem (113) guia os cabeçotes de soldagem ao redor das seções de tubo (102, 104). O aparelho ainda compreende um dispositivo guia (133) que guia os portadores de equipamento de soldagem (148, 152) ao redor de dita área de soldagem (115). Os portadores de equipamento de soldagem (148, 152) são móveis de forma independente um do outro.
