Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A FABRICAçãO DE UM CABO DE AUTO-EXTINçãO" A invenção diz respeito a um processo para a fabricação de um cabo de auto-extinção que compreende pelo menos um elemento transmissor e pelo menos um revestimento retardante de chamas em uma posição radialmente externa a dito pelo menos um elemento transmissor, em que dito pelo menos um revestimento inclui um material polimérico retardante de chamas expandido compreendendo: (a) pelo menos um polímero expansível; (b) pelo menos um agente de expansão; (c) pelo menos uma carga inorgânica retardante de chamas, em uma quantidade de 100 partes em peso a 250 partes em peso com respeito a 100 partes em peso de dito pelo menos um polímero expansível, o processo compreendendo as seguintes etapas: (i) alimentação do material polimérico retardante de chamas a um aparelho de extrusão, nele fundindo e misturando o material; (ii) passagem do material polimérico retardante de chamas obtido na etapa (i) através de pelo menos um misturador estático; (iii) depósito mediante extrusão do material polimérico retardante de chamas obtido na etapa (ii) em dito pelo menos um elemento transmissor transportado para dito aparelho de extrusão. O processo da invenção permite otimizar a homogencidade e maximizar a expansão de dito material polimérico retardante de chamas. O cabo assim obtido é fornecido com boas propriedades tanto mecânicas quanto retardantes de chamas.
