Abstract
UM DESVOLATIZADOR A VÁCUO. É proporcionado um desvolatizador a vácuo para uso em uma unidade de processamento ou fabricação de polímeros. O desvolatizador compreende uma câmara de vácuo que tem uma entrada para um material fundido de polímero, uma saída para um material fundido de polímero, uma porta de vácuo através da qual os voláteis podem ser removidos e uma porta de árvore de agitador para a entrada de uma árvore de agitador. A árvore de agitador passa através da pelo menos uma porta de árvore de agitador e se estende na câmara de vácuo e carrega um meio de agitação. A vedação de árvore de agitador é associada a cada porta de árvore de agitador para vedar contra a árvore de agitador e cada vedação de árvore de agitador tem uma porção externa lado de fora da câmara de vácuo. O desvolatizador é proporcionado ocm um motor localizado do lado de fora da câmara de vácuo para girar a árvore e compreende meios para cobrir a porção externa da vedação de árvore de agitador com um gás ou vapor com conteúdo baixo de oxigênio, por exemplo nitrogênio, hélio, vapor, ou dióxido de carbono.
