Abstract

IMPLANTE ESPINHAL COM PRESERVAÇÃO DE MOVIMENTO PARA SUBSTITUIÇÃO TOTAL DO DISCO. Um implante espinhal com preservação de movimento é apresentado para uso na colocação entre o espaço intervertebral para substituição total de um disco espinhal degenerado. O implante espinhal de preservação de movimento tem um par de placas de extremidade ensanduichadas em torno de um núcleo interno e um núcleo externo, com o núcleo interno sendo posicionado concentricamente dentro do núcleo externo. O núcleo externo encapsula o núcleo interno e fornece vedação adequada do núcleo interno, mantendo a flexibilidade e a elasticidade para suportar vantajosamente os movimentos fisiológicos. O núcleo interno é construído em material elastomérico e atua como um diafragma sólido de modo a resistir e sustentar compressão localizada e outras forças.
