Processo para a estabilização da viscosidade de polímero siloxano de fórmula geral: R<39><39>~ 3b~-X~ b~-SiO-(R-<39><39>~ 2~SiO~)n~- SiO-X~ b~-R<39><39>~ 3-b~ (I) em que R<39><39> é um hidrocarboneto, X é R<39><39>, hidroxila, ou alcoxi, b é 1, 2 ou 3, e n é um inteiro com um valor tal que a viscosidade do polímero siloxano a 25<198>C está na faixa de 1 a 100.0000 mm^ 2^/s, cujo processo compreende adicionar um álcool de fórmula geral R<39>OH, em que R<39> é alquila, a (1) polímero siloxano de fórmula (I) ou (ii) precursores de organa-silício de polímeros siloxano de fórmula (I) e deixando álcool reagir com o polímero siloxano ou precursores de argano-silício.
