Abstract

''COMPOSIçãO DE PLASTISOL'' Esta invenção revela processo para aplicar um revestimento semelhante a borracha sobre um substrato, que compreende: (1) imergir o substrato numa composição de plastisol de um maneira tal que a composição de plastisol seja aplicada sobre a superfície do substrato, em que a composição de plastisol é compreendida por (i) cloreto de polivinila, (ii) entre aproximadamente 70 e aproximadamente 100 partes de um plastificante por 100 partes de cloreto de polivinila, (iii) entre aproximadamente 1 e aproximadamente 3 partes de um estabilizador e (iv) entre aproximadamente 10 e aproximadamente 30 partes por 100 partes de cloreto de polivinila de uma composição de borracha nitrílica com alto índice de ligações cruzadas, em que a borracha nitrílica com alto índice de ligações cruzadas tem unidades repetitivas derivadas de (a) 1,3-butadieno, (b) acrilonitrila e (c ) um agente cruzador de ligação, e em que dita borracha nitrílica com alto índice de ligações cruzadas tem uma viscosidade Mooney entre aproximadamente 50 e aproximadamente 120, um índice de expansão menor do que aproximadamente 10 porcento, uma contração em moinho menor do que 10 porcento e um teor de gel maior do que 90 porcento; (2) remover o substrato da composição de plastisol para produzir um substrato revestido com plastisol; (3) aquecer o substrato revestido com plastisol até uma temperatura que esteja dentro da faixa entre aproximadamente 150 °C e aproximadamente 200 °C por um período que seja suficiente para fundir a composição de plastisol sobre o substrato, produzindo um substrato revestido com borracha. As composições de borracha com alto índice de ligações cruzadas desta invenção podem ser utilizadas em aplicações de moldagem por escoamento de pó.
