Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"SISTEMA PARA REMOçãO DE NUTRIENTES DE áGUAS RESIDUAIS"<D>. Um sistema de tratamento de águas residuais retorna lama ativada com o influente de águas residuais sob condições anóxicas (42), na presença de microorganismos de apreensão de substâncias, para provocar a liberação dos compostos de fósforo nas águas residuais. As águas residuais são depois aeradas (44) na presença de microorganismos de nitrificação, para converter amónia em nitrato, enquanto que os microorganismos de apreensão de substâncias apreendem os compostos de fósforo. As águas residuais são depois submetidas às condições anóxicas e óxicas alternadas (46a, 46b), para reduzir nitrato em nitrogênio gasoso usando-se microorganismos de desnitrificação. O efluente resultante é substancialmente isento de nutrientes à base de nitrogênio e à base de fósforo.
