Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"CARBONATO DE CáLCIO PRECIPITADO E PROCESSO PARA SUA PREPARAçãO".<D> A invenção refere-se a produtos de carbonato de cálcio prepicipitado contendo aglomerados retangulares contendo um número de partículas de carbonato de cálcio (agregados) ligados umas às outras e contendo um tamanho de partícula de cerca de 40 até 200 nm. De acordo com a invenção esses produtos são preparados por ajuste do potencial Z da suspensão de carbonato de cálcio de -1...-20 mV por ajuste do pH da suspensão de 6,5...9,5 O pH da pasta fluida de carbonato de cálcio obtido por caustificação é ajustado a um valor desejado em um filtro em caixa, no qual depois a suspensão é agitada por um misturador de carga-pesa de tal que ele é submetido a diferenças de cerca de 50 até 200 m/s em velocidade periférica. Os produtos de acordo com a invenção têm boa opacidade e são muito bem apropriados para revestimento de papel.
