Abstract

"NOVAS COMPOSIçõES FARMACêUTICAS DE TRIFOSFATO DE URIDINA". São divulgadas novas composições farmacêuticas de 5'-trifosfato de uridina (UTP), para uso na promoção de depuração mucociliar aumentada de secreções mucosas retidas das vias aéreas, das orelhas médias/internas ou dos seios humanos. A nova Formulação (I) compreende o UTP e solução aquosa, tendo uma concentração terapêutica entre 5 e 45 mg/ml, uma tonicidade controlada dentro da faixa de 250 a 100 mOsM, um pH entre 7,0 e 7,5, e é estéril. A composição com o pH ajustado é capaz de armazenagem por um longo tempo, no estado refrigerado, com uma vida na prateleira de até 30 meses. A Formulação (I) pode ser liberada terapeuticamente em uma forma nebulizada ou em uma forma líquida. A nova Formulação (II) compreende o UTP em uma solução aquosa, tendo uma concentração terapêutica aproximando-se do limite de solubilidade do UTP, à temperatura ambiente, ou em uma suspensão que excede a solubilidade da droga. Esta alta concentração permite a liberação de uma quantidade terapêutica de UTP em volumes muito pequenos (50 a 100 <109>l) , adequados para a administração através de dispositivos segurados pelas mãos, portáteis, tais como os inaladores de doses medidas. A Formulação (II) tem vida na prateleira prolongada, sem a necessidade por refrigeração após ser liberada para o paciente.
