Patente de Invenção: <B>"TOXINAS INSETICIDAS ORIUNDAS DE XENORHABDUS NEMATOPHILUS E SEQuêNCIAS DE áCIDOS NUCLéICOS QUE CODIFICAM PARA AS MESMAS"<D>. Seq³ências de ácidos nucléicos isoladas de Xenorhabdus nematophilus, Xenorhabdus poinarii, e Photorhabdus luminescens, cuja expressão resulta em novas toxinas inseticidas, são reveladas aqui. A invenção também revela composições e formulações contendo as toxinas inseticidas que são capazes de controlar pestes de inseto. A invenção refere-se ulteriormente a métodos de produção de toxinas e a métodos de uso das seq³ências de nucleotídeos, por exemplo, em microorganismo para controlar pestes de inseto ou em plantas trangênicas para conferir resistência a inseto.
