Aço para fabricação de uma peça para rolamento, cuja composição química compreende, em peso: 0,6% <243> C <243> 1,5%, 0,4% <243> Mn <243> 1,5%, 0,75% <243> Si <243> 2,5%, 0,2% <243> Cr <243> 2%, 0% <243> Ni <243> 0,5%, 0% <243> Mo <243> 0,2%, 0% <243> Al <243> 0,05% S <243> 0,04%, o resto sendo o ferro e impurezas resultantes da elaboração. A composição satisfazendo, além disso, as relações: Mn < 0,75 + 0,55 x Si e Mn <243> 2,5-0,8% Si. A propriedade inclusionária do aço, medida segundo o método A da norma ASTM e 45 satisfazendo, além disso, as seguintes condições: inclusões de tipo A, finas: índice - inclusões de tipo A, finas: índice <243> 2,5, espessas: índice <243> 1,5; inclusões de tipo B, finas: índice <243> 1,5; espessas: índice <243> 0,5; inclusões de tipo C, finas: índice = 0; espessas: índice = 0; inclusões de tipo D, finas: índice <243> 0,5; espessas: índice <243> 0,5.
