Abstract
"CONJUNTO DE TRAVESSA DE EIXO DIANTEIRO DIRECIONáVEL, E MéTODO DE MONTAGEM DO MESMO". Um conjunto de travessa de eixo dianteiro é provido, compreendendo uma porção de travessa central que tem primeiras conexões opostas. Cotovelos tendo segundas conexões são presos às primeiras conexões da travessa, preferencialmente por prendedores roscados. Uma haste é suportada de forma pivotante em cada cotovelo por pinos mestres. A porção central do eixo pode ser construída a partir de um material diferente daquele dos cotovelos. Mais ainda, os cotovelos podem ser formados a partir de um processo diferente daquele da porção de eixo central. Por exemplo, a porção central pode ser construída a partir de uma peça fundida de alumínio, enquanto os cotovelos podem ser construídos a partir de um forjado de aço. Porções de eixo centrais diferentes podem ser selecionadas, dependendo do alinhamento e dos pontos de afixação de suspensão desejados. De modo similar, os cotovelos podem ser selecionados para proverem pontos de afixação de suspensão desejados para ligações, airbags e/ou molas de lâmina. Os cotovelos podem ser selecionados para a obtenção de um desnivelamento de travessa de eixo desejado. Preferencialmente, a porção de eixo central e os cotovelos incluem porções de intertravamento complementares que localizam os cotovelos em relação à porção de eixo central, durante a montagem. Os cotovelos e as porções de eixo centrais são presos na junta, que define o ângulo desejado selecionado para minimização de tensões em uma junta e proverem facilidade de montagem.
