Abstract
"PROTETOR DE AGULHA DOTADO DE RECURSOS DE ENCAMINHAMENTO DE SONDA INERENTES". A presente invenção refere-se a um protetor de agulha ou perfuração que é dotado de recursos de encaminhamento de sonda inerentes para o uso em uma válvula de derivação configurada em linha. O protetor compreende um elemento de base configurado para montagem dentro do reservatório abaulado da válvula de derivação, e uma parede de guia assentada no elemento de base. A parede de guia é definida por uma parede de topo, uma parede lateral interna, e uma parede lateral externa oposta. A parede lateral interna é dotada de uma seção entalhada com uma abertura que se estende através da seção entalhada. A parede lateral interna pode ser encurvada de forma cóncava, enquanto a seção entalhada tem uma curvatura que encaminha instrumentos que são pressionados contra a parede de guia no sentido da abertura. Proporciona-se igualmente um método para realizar revisões de cateter em um sistema de derivação que é dotado de um protetor dentro da válvula de derivação. Proporciona-se igualmente um método para colocação de um sensor de pressão intracraniana percutaneamente em um cateter ventricular para se determinar pressão intracraniana.
