Abstract
"MéTODO PARA HIDROFORMAçãO EM ALTA VELOCIDADE DE ELEMENTO DE CHASSI DE VEìCULO". Um método para hidroformação em alta velocidade de um elemento de chassi de veículo incluindo fornecer um elemento tubular oco e uma matriz que tem uma cavidade interna de matriz. O elemento tubular é posicionado no interior da cavidade de matriz e enchido com um fluído. Uma onda de choque é criada no fluido, desse modo causando formação hiperplástica do elemento tubular para expandir o mesmo para fora em conformação com o formato da cavidade de matriz. A onda de choque pode ser criada pela descarga de um arco elétrico entre um par de eletrodos submersos no fluido. As extremidades do elemento tubular podem ser alimentadas para o interior da cavidade de matriz durante expansão a fim de fornecer uma espessura de parede relativamente uniforme no elemento tubular deformado.
