Abstract

"MéTODOS E KITS PARA MANUTENçãO DE GRAVIDEZ, TRATAMENTO DE CISTOS FOLICULARES, E SINCRONIZAçãO DE OVULAçãO EMPREGANDO-SE HORMÈNIO DE LUTEINIZAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e kits para manter gravidez em mamíferos. A gravidez é mantida por administração de quantidades eficazes de hormónio de luteinização (LH) ou gonadotropina coriónica (CG). Ambos LH e CG podem ser empregados sozinhos, em combinação entre si, ou em combinação com hormónio de crescimento (GH) ou hormónio de estimulação de folículo (FSH). Hormónios são administrados em torno do Dia 4 a cerca do Dia 7, seguindo a inseminação. Quantidades eficazes de LH variam de cerca de 10 microgramas a cerca de 25 miligramas, preferivelmente cerca de 2 a cerca de 8 mg, e de CG varia de cerca de 100 IU (unidades internacionais) a cerca de 2000 IU. Os mamíferos tratáveis pelos métodos desta invenção incluem ungulados e mamíferos relacionados, incluindo bovinos.
