Abstract

"RECUPERAçãO DE METAIS DO GRUPO DA PLATINA". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de recuperação de metais do grupo da platina (PGMS) de uma solução fértil ou de um lixiviado contendo valores PGM e metais base, tipicamente uma solução de cianeto ou um lixiviado. Uma precipitação não-seletiva dos valores PGM e dos metais base para formar um precipitado insolúvel compreendendo os valores PGM e os metais base é seguida de uma lixiviação seletiva do precipitado. A lixiviação seletiva forma uma solução de lixiviação contendo os metais base e um resíduo contendo os valores PGM, ou uma solução de lixiviação contendo os metais base e os valores PGM e um resíduo esgotado. Os metais base são recuperados da solução de lixiviação e os valores PGM são recuperados do resíduo ou da solução de lixiviação, dependendo da lixiviação seletiva. A precipitação não-seletiva dos valores PGM e dos metais base é executada pela redução controlada do pH da solução fértil ou lixiviado até um pH de cerca de 2.
