Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO CERMET, E, MéTODO PARA PROPORCIONAR UMA SUPERFìCIE METáLICA COM RESISTêNCIA AOS EFEITOS DA EXPOSIçãO A AMBIENTES EROSIVOS E CORROSIVOS". São proporcionados cermets nos quais uma fase cerâmica de carboneto de metal substancialmente estequiométrica juntamente com uma fase de carboneto de metal reprecipitada, representada pela fórmula M~ x~C~ y~, está dispersada em uma fase ligante de metal. Em M~ x~Y~ y~, M é Cr, Fe, Ni, Co, Si, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb. Ta, Mo ou suas misturas, x e y são valores numéricos fracionários ou inteiros com x variando de 1 a 30, e y de 1 a 6. Estes cermets são particularmente úteis na proteção de superfícies contra erosão e corrosão em temperaturas altas.
