Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A UTILIZAçãO DE ESCóRIA". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a utilização de escória (2,2<39><39>) proveniente da indústria de ferros ornamentais e contendo partículas de ferro óxido, a adição de um agente redutor (29) e a redução das partículas do ferro óxido da escória (2,2<39><39>), bem como de outros óxidos de metal que opcionalmente são providos é efetuada por meio do dito agente redutor (29). De modo a atingir uma redução de escória eficiente envolvendo um pequeno gasto de energia e baixos investimentos, o processo é realizado como segue: - carregamento da escória (2,2<39><39>) em um recipiente do reator (7) sobre um material de formada de ferro residual (25) contendo carbono dissolvido, vagarosa e continuamente sobre um período de tempo prolongado, - aquecimento elétrico da escória (2) e do material de formada de ferro residual bem como de um material de formada de ferro recentemente formado (17) através de um período prolongado de tempo, - injeção de um agente redutor contendo carbono (29) com gás inerte, através de um período de tempo prolongado por meio de uma lança (11) em uma região próxima da superfície limite (26) entre a escória (2) e o material de formada de ferro (25) ou diretamente dentro do material de formada de ferro (25), - dissolução do carbono do agente redutor (29) no material de formada de ferro (25) e - redução das partículas de ferro óxido da escória (2), com ferro metálico e CO sendo formados, através de um período prolongado de tempo, - formação de uma escória espumosa (2<39>) pelo CO resultante através de um período de tempo prolongado, - introdução de um gás contendo oxigênio ou oxigênio na escória espumosa (2<39>) e pós-combustão de CO para CO~ 2~ através de um período de tempo prolongado, - jato inferior do recipiente do reator (7) com gás inerte através de um período de tempo prolongado, - descarga da escória tratada (16) e opcionalmente - subseqüentemente a descarga do material de formada de ferro (17), por meio disso um material de formada de ferro (25) residual contendo carbono dissolvido é deixado no recipiente do reator (7).
