Abstract

"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA DETECTAR QUANDO A EXTREMIDADE DE UM TREM PASSA POR UM PONTO". Um controlador determina que uma extremidade de um trem passa por um ponto, através da utilização de sistemas de posicionamento na cabeceira do trem (HOT) e na cauda do trem (EOT). Em um primeiro método, o controlador obtém a posição de cabeceira de trem (HOT) em um ponto de interesse a partir do sistema de posicionamento de cabeceira de trem (HOT). O controlador em seguida determina quando o trem percorreu uma distância igual ao seu comprimento e em seguida interroga o sistema de posicionamento de cauda de trem (EOT). Se a diferença entre esta posição e a posição relatada pelo sistema de posicionamento de cabeceira de trem (HOT) no ponto de interesse exceder um limite, neste caso a cauda do trem (EIT) terá passado pelo ponto. Em um segundo método, quando o sistema de posicionamento de cabeceira de trem (HOT) alcança um ponto de interesse, a posição relatada pelo sistema de posicionamento de cauda de trem (EOT) é totalizada até que a distância total percorrida pela cauda de trem (EOT) seja igual ao comprimento do trem.
