Uma blanqueta de impressão forrada com metal para montagem em um cilindro de blanqueta que inclui uma folga, uma blanqueta de impressão que tem uma chapa de base de metal fina com superfícies superior e inferior e extremidades que incluem borda dianteira e traseira adaptadas para se encaixarem na folga do cilindro; uma blanqueta de impressão elastomérica compressível presa na superfície superior da placa de base, mas não nas extremidades, e tendo uma face superior adaptada para transferência de contato de tinta com um substrato imprimível; e um revestimento especializado aplicado na superfície inferior para impedir deformação da blanqueta de impressão e para impedir deslaminação da blanqueta de impressão a partir de um cilindro de blanqueta. é também divulgado o método para fazer uma blanqueta de impressão forrada com metal para montagem em um cilindro como esse.
