Abstract

"MICROEMULSõES TRANSNASAIS CONTENDO DIAZEPAM". A presente invenção refere-se ao diazepam que é administrado intranasalmente, sob a forma de microemulsões específicas que apresentam propriedades vantajosas. As microemulsões são compreendidas de quantidades iguais de ácido graxo e água, com o restante sendo um tensoativo hidrofílico, um solvente polar e um álcool em uma razão em peso de tal modo que o álcool está presente em uma quantidade em peso maior que a dos outros dois. A administração nasal das microemulsões produz uma alta concentração de diazepam no plasma, a uma velocidade próxima da administração intravenosa. As presentes microemulsões são particularmente adequadas ao tratamento imediato e em tempo de pacientes que necessitem tratamento agudo e/ou emergencial de estados de epilepsia e outros ataques induzidos por febre.
