Abstract

"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA MARCAR PNEUS". A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema e a um método associados de marcar um pneu moldado de veículo com informações gravadas a laser a fim de prover dados tanto para leitura humana como para leitura por máquina. As informações contidas em um código de barras sobre o pneu são lidas em uma primeira estação e fornecidas a uma unidade de controle. A localização física de informações para leitura humana previamente moldadas no pneu é lida no pneu em uma segunda estação e é fornecida à unidade de controle que usa estas informações para posicionar um laser situado em uma terceira estação, a fim de registrar informações adicionais para leitura por máquina relativas à fabricação do pneu, adjacentes às informações para leitura humana já existentes, providas para atender aos requisitos de marcação de pneu do Departamento de Transporte (DOT). As informações adicionais também podem ser gravadas a laser no pneu segundo um formato codificado para leitura por máquina, tal como símbolos 2D, para controle e verificação subseqüentes por toda a vida útil do pneu.
