Abstract
"MéTODOS DE REDE DE áREA LOCAL SEM FIO (WLAN) E COMPONENTES QUE UTILIZAM A PREVISãO DE TRáFEGO". São fornecidos componentes, sistema e método de comunicação que incluem o uso de previsões de tráfego determinadas por uma unidade de transmissão e recepção sem fio (WTRU). Preferencialmente, a presente invenção é implementada por meio da previsão de tráfego em uma rede de área local sem fio (WLAN), entre uma WTRU e um ponto de acesso (AP) de WLAN que inicia pela determinação de nível de tráfego na WTRU. As informações de previsão de tráfego são enviadas pela WTRU para o AP, onde são utilizadas em conjunto com a geração de comandos enviados para WTRUs para controlar a forma de acesso pelas WTRUs para a WLAN através do AP. As WTRUs recebem instruções quanto à admissão e são preferencialmente configuradas para receber e implementar instruções para ajustar a janela de contenção utilizada pela WTRU para transmitir dados.
