Abstract

"CATALISADOR E PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE áCIDO ACéTICO". Um catalisador e processo para a produção de ácido acético pela a carbonilação de metanol e/ou um derivado reativo do mesmo. O sistema de catalisador compreende um catalisador de carbonilação de irídio, co-catalisador de iodeto de metila, opcionalmente pelo menos um de rutênio, ósmio, rênio, zinco, gálio, tungstênio, cádmio, mercúrio e índio e pelo menos um promotor de ácido não-hidrohalogenóico. O ácido não-hidrohalogenóico pode ser um oxoácido, um superácido e/ou um heteropoliácido.
