Abstract

"COMPOSIçõES GORDUROSAS COM TEOR BAIXO DE áCIDO TRANS-GRAXO; HIDROGENAçãO EM TEMPERATURA BAIXA, POR EXEMPLO, DE óLEOS COMESTìVEIS". A presente invenção fornece composições de gordura de ácido trans-baixo inferiores, métodos de hidrogenação de cargas de alimentação insaturadas (por exemplo, óleos), e composições catalisadoras de hidrogenação. Um método exemplar envolve a produção de uma composição catalisadora mediante o aquecimento de um catalisador com base em níquel para uma primeira temperatura de pelo menos cerca de 85<198>C na presença de hidrogênio e um componente gorduroso. Uma carga de alimentação insaturada pode ser colocada em contato com a composição catalisadora e hidrogenada mediante o sustento de uma reação de hidrogenação em uma segunda temperatura de não mais do que cerca de 70<198>C.
