Abstract
"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA A DETERMINAçãO DA PRESENçA DE UM ANALITO SELECIONADO NUMA AMOSTRA DISPOSTA NUMA CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA, MéTODO PARA DETERMINAR A DISTáNCIA EFETIVA DE SEPARAçãO ENTRE UM PRIMEIRO ELETRODO E UM SEGUNDO ELETRODO NUMA CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA E MéTODO PARA A DETERMINAçãO DE UMA PROPRIEDADE EFICAZ DE TRANSPORTE DE UMA ESPéCIE EM UMA AMOSTRA LìQUIDA DISPOSTA ENTRE UM PRIMEIRO ELETRODO E UM SEGUNDO ELETRODO NUMA CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA". A presença de um analito selecionado dentro da amostra é avaliada em um sistema eletroquímico utilizando um aparelho do tipo de célula de condução. Um potencial ou corrente elétrica é gerado entre os dois eletrodos da célula suficiente para dar origem a oxidação ou redução do analito ou de um mediador em um sistema de oxi-redução com detecção de analito, formando desta maneira um gradiente de potencial químico do analito ou mediador entre os dois eletrodos. Depois que o gradiente está estabelecido, o potencial ou corrente elétrica aplicada é interrompido e um sinal independente do analito é obtido a partir do relaxamento do gradiente de potencial químico. O sinal independente do analito é usado para corrigir o sinal dependente do analito obtido durante a aplicação do potencial ou corrente elétrica. A referida correção permite uma medição otimizada da concentração do analito porque corrige fatores específicos de cada dispositivo e também fatores específicos de cada teste tais como transporte (mobilidade) de analito e/ou mediador, área efetiva de eletrodo e espaçamento entre eletrodos (e como resultado disso, o volume da amostra), sem que haja necessidade de valores de calibração separados. A análise pode ser efetuada utilizando tiras de teste descartáveis em um medidor portátil, por exemplo para o teste de glicose.
