Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE DICLORETO DE METILALUMìNIO". A presente invenção refere-se a processo de preparação de dicloreto de metilalumínio por (i) reação por aquecimento de material do fórmula R~ 3~AI~ 2~ X~ 3~, onde R é alquila C~ 1~-C~ 4~ e X é selecionado de bromo e iodo com um material contendo alumínio selecionado de alumínio metálico e uma mistura de alumínio metálico e tricloreto de alumínio, em uma atmosfera de cloreto de metila, com a condição de que quando R for metila e X for iodo, o material contendo alumínio é uma mistura de alumínio e tricloreto de alumínio; e (ii) quando o material contendo alumínio é alumínio metálico, adiciona-se tricloreto de alumínio a essa mistura reacional e aquece-se para produzir o produto reacional bruto; e (iii) se desejado, obter dicloreto de metilalumínio a partir desse produto reacional bruto. O produto reacional bruto pode ser usado diretamente em sínteses orgânicas, tais como a ciclização de <sym>-Georgywood para produzir <225>-Georgywood.
