Abstract

"MéTODOS PARA DISTRIBUIçãO INTRADéRMICA DE AGENTES TERAPêUTICOS". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e dispositivos para distribuição de um ou mais agentes biologicamente ativos, particularmente agentes terapêuticos, ao compartimento intradérmico da pele de um paciente. A presente invenção proporciona um método para distribuição de agentes biologicamente ativos, tais como agentes terapêuticos, através da vasculatura linfática acessada pela distribuição intradérmica. Agentes terapêuticos a serem distribuídos de acordo com a presente invenção incluem, mas sem limitação, agentes antineoplásicos, agentes quimioterapêuticos, anticorpos, antibióticos, agentes anti-angiogênese, e agentes imunoterapêuticos. Agentes terapêuticos distribuídos de acordo com a presente invenção têm biodisponibilidade aperfeiçoada, incluindo distribuição sistêmica aperfeiçoada e distribuição aperfeiçoada para tecidos particulares. Agentes terapêuticos distribuídos de acordo com os métodos da invenção têm uma utilidade clínica aperfeiçoada e eficácia terapêutica aperfeiçoada com relação a outros métodos de distribuição de drogas, incluindo distribuição intraperitonial, intramuscular e subcutânea. Os métodos da presente invenção proporcionam benefícios e aperfeiçoamentos com relação a métodos convencionais de distribuição de droga, incluindo dosagem moderada, eficácia da droga aumentada, efeitos colaterais reduzidos, potencial metastático reduzido e sobrevivência prolongada.
