Abstract

"APARELHO PARA TESTAR CABOS DE ELEVADOR DE FIBRA DE ARAMIDA". A presente invenção refere-se a aparelho e método para inspecionar e calcular a resistência residual de um cabo de fibra de aramida (7) acionando um elevador para determinar quando tal cabo (7) está precisando de substituição. O aparelho compreende um transmissor (22) para introduzir uma onda acústica que se deslocará ao longo do cabo de fibra de aramida e uma pluralidade de receptores (24, 26) para receber a onda acústica depois de que atravessou uma seção designada do cabo. O transmissor e receptor fornecem sinais indicando os tempos em que as ondas foram enviadas pelo transmissor e depois disto recebidas pelo receptor. A partir destes sinais, um programa calcula a velocidade da onda, e o módulo e resistência residual do cabo de aramida.
