A presente invenção refere-se a óleos de base lubrificantes, que compreendem componentes hidrocarbonetos parafínicos, que possuem ramificação otimizada. Estes óleos de base lubrificantes, que compreendem componentes hidrocarbonetos parafínicos com ramificação otimizada possuem baixas quantidades de ramificação total, a ramificação sendo concentrada em direção ao centro das moléculas de óleo de base lubrificante.
