Abstract

"MéTODO PARA MONITORAR A PRESENçA DE MICROORGANISMOS FORMADORES DE BIOFILME NA INDúSTRIA DE PAPEL". A presente invenção é dirigida para um método para detectar a presença de microorganismos formadores de biofilme em um processo de fabricação de papel ou papelão, para determinar a necessidade de um agente anti-biofilme no processo. O método compreende as etapas de: (a) submeter um dispositivo de amostragem na linha de processo por um certo período de tempo, de modo a possibilitar aos ditos microorganismos formar um biofilme in situ no dito processo, sobre a superfície do dispositivo de amostragem; (b) opcionalmente, tratar o dito biofilme formado com uma solução de um agente de teste anti-biofilme, por um certo período de tempo; em seguida (c) contatar o dito biofilme com um meio de cultura líquido em um recesso do dispositivo de cultura por um determinado período de tempo; e (d) remover a solução da cultura do recesso do dito dispositivo e detectar qualitativa e/ou quantitativamente a presença ou ausência de um biofilme aderido sobre as paredes do recesso. A invenção também proporciona um kit de montagem.
