Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA LIXIVIAçãO DE TITáNIO A PARTIR DE UM MATERIAL DE MINéRIO CONTENDO TITáNIO". Trata-se de um processo para lixiviação de um metal valioso de um material de minério contendo titânio compreendendo a etapa de lixiviar o material de minério a pressão atmosférica com um lixiviante compreendendo um cloreto e ácido clorídrico. As condições de lixiviação são tais que o titânio é lixiviado e permanece na solução. A temperatura é mantida a menos de 85<198>C e a concentração de ácido clorídrico é, de preferência, menor do que 20% (razão de massa) . O cloreto preferido é cloreto de magnésio. O lixiviante pode conter oxidante, por exemplo, clorato de sódio ou cloro.
