A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição que contém um esterol de planta ou estanol de planta ou seus ésteres de ácido graxo e um emulsificante para tratar condições que são relacionadas à dihidrotestosterona elevada. As composições podem ser preparadas em uma forma seca para uso como um ingrediente alimentício, comprimido ou cápsula. Alternativamente, as composições podem ser dissolvidas em óleo.
