Abstract

"COMPOSTOS ORGáNICOS". São apresentados compostos de amida de ácido <sym>-amino-<sym>hidróxi-<sym>-aril-alcanóico de fórmula (I), e os seus sais, tendo propriedades de inibição da renina. Da mesma forma são apresentadas as composições farmacêuticas compreendendo estes compostos e métodos de administrá-las para o tratamento de hipertensão, aterosclerose, síndrome da coronária instável, insuficiência cardíaca congestiva, hipertrofia cardíaca, fibrose cardíaca, pós-infartação cadiomiopatia, síndrome da coronária instável, disfunção diastólica, doença renal crónica, fibrose hepática, complicações resultantes do diabetes, tais como nefropatia, vasculopatia e neuropatia, doenças dos vasos coronários, restenose seguinte a angioplastia, pressão intra-ocular elevada, glaucoma, crescimento vascular anormal, hiperaldosteronismo, enfraquecimento cognitivo, doença de alzheimer, demência, estados de ansiedade e distúrbios cognitivos.
