Abstract

PLANTAS AUTO-PROCESSANTES E PARTES DE PLANTA.A invenção fornece polinucleotídeos,preferivelmente polinucleotídeos sintéticos, que codifica processar enzimas que são otimizadas para expressão em plantas. Os polinucleotídeos codificam enzimas de processamento mesofílicas, termofílicas, ou hipertermofílicas, que são ativadas sob condições de ativação adequadas para agir sobre o substrato desejado.São também fornecidas plantas transgênicas "autoprocessáveis" e partes de planta,por exemplo,grão,que expressa uma ou mais destas enzimas e tem uma composição alterada que facilita o processamento de lanta e grão.São também fornecidos métodos para preparo e emprego destas plantas,por exemplo, para produzir produtos alimentícios tendo o sabor melhorado e par produzir substratos fermentáveis para a produção de etanol e bebidas fermentáveis.
