Abstract

"SISTEMA E MéTODO DE INDIVIDUALIZAçãO DE ANIMAIS E DE GERENCIAMENTO DE REBANHOS". Particularmente aplicável ao gado bovino e bubalino, permitindo a individualização de animais por observação de códigos e características visualmente perceptíveis e disponíveis de diferentes maneiras no animal de modo a permitir a correlação das informações coletadas de maneira não eletrónica e relativas ao manejo dos animais em qualquer fase de sua criação, com uma individualização não ambígua do animal, para sua posterior inclusão numa base de dados. Dita identificação é provida pela combinação de, no mínimo, a porção de um Código Integral com uma porção, ou seqüência completa de um outro Código Integral, de acordo com normas predefinidas pelos responsáveis pelo sistema. Um dos Códigos Integrais pode ser compatível com as normas ISO 11784 ou equivalentes, e o outro, não relacionado às referidas normas, pode ser designado ao animal por entidade específica, pelo proprietário ou pelo administrador do rebanho. Os caracteres selecionados, que compõem as porções dos códigos identificadores e podem ocupar posições contíguas ou não dentro dos referidos códigos, são visualmente perceptíveis e disponíveis de diferentes maneiras no animal. A ordem da seqüência dos elementos utilizados para conseguir a individualização do animal não é fixa e será predefinida pelos responsáveis pelo sistema em cada caso.
