Abstract

ARRANJO E MéTODO PARA CONTROLAR A ATIVAçãO DE UM FREIO AUXILIAR EM UM VEìCULO A presente invenção diz respeito a um arranjo e um método para controlar a ativação de um freio auxiliar de um veículo. O arranjo compreende o freio auxiliar (5), um sistema de resfriamento (1) com um meio de resfriamento circulante adaptado para resfriar o freio auxiliar (5), um sensor de temperatura (8) adaptado para detectar a temperatura (T~ out~) do meio de resfriamento após o último ter resfriado o freio auxiliar (5) e uma unidade de controle (7) adaptada para comparar os valores de temperatura (T~ out~) recebidos do sensor de temperatura (8) com uma temperatura de referência (T~ ref~) . A unidade de controle (7) é adaptada para controlar a ativação do freio aixiliar (5) com um efeito de frenagem reduzido quando os valores de temperatura (T~ out~) recebidos excederem uma temperatura de referência (T~ ref~), que varia com o tempo durante pelo menos um período de tempo (t~ 1~-t~ 5~)do tempo de ativação do freio auxiliar (5).
