Abstract
PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE PRECIPITADOS DE óXIDO FéRRICO TENDO UM TAMANHO DE PARTìCULA SELECIONADO. Métodos melhorados para o tratamento de composições metalúrgicas envolvem reagir uma composição metalúrgica com uma solução aquosa de ácido nítrico. A reação é realizada a uma pressão ou pelo menos cerca de 15,4 kg/cm¬ 2¬ e a uma temperatura de pelo menos 100<198>C. A composição metalúrgica compreende ferro e um ou mais metais não ferrosos. A reação dissolve pelo menos uma porção das composições de metal não ferrosas na solução que está em contato com o óxido férrico sólido. A reação pode ser repetida nos sólidos isolados para aumentar a pureza do óxido férrico nos sólidos. Zinco pode ser removido das soluções de metal mistas obtidas a partir da poeira de forno por adição de base para precipitar hidróxido de zinco.
