Abstract

BATERIAS SECUNDáRIAS DE LìTIO COM VOLTAGENS DE CARGA-CORTE ACIMA DE 4,35 VOLTS é descrita uma bateria secundária de lítio incluindo um catodo (C), um anodo (A), um separador e um eletrólito, em que a bateria tem uma relação de peso (A/C) de material ativo de anodo (A) em relação ao material ativo de catodo (C) por unidade de área de cada eletrodo entre 0,44 e 0,70, e apresenta uma voltagem de carga e corte entre 4,35 V e 4,6 V. A bateria secundária de lítio de alta voltagem satisfaz o equilíbrio de capacidade controlando-se a relação de peso (A/C) de material ativo de anodo (A) em relação ao material ativo de catodo (C) por unidade de área de cada eletrodo. Então, é possível aumentar significativamente a capacidade disponível e a voltagem de descarga média de una bateria usando um material ativo de catado baseado em lítio/cobalto, que mostra uma capacidade disponível de cerca de 50% em uma bateria convencional de 4,2 V. Adicionalmente, é possível melhorar significativamente a segurança da bateria sob condições de sobrecarga, e assim prover uma bateria secundária de lítio de alta voltagem e alta capacidade tendo excelente segurança e longa vida de serviço.
