Abstract
MéTODO, EQUIPAMENTO E SISTEMA. PARA APERFEIçOAR ROBUSTEZ DE CODECS DE VìDEO PREDITIVOS UTILIZANDO UM CANAL LATERAL COM BASE EM TéCNICAS DE CODIFICAçãO DE FONTE DISTRIBUìDA. Um método, equipamento e sistema para fornecer técnicas de codificação de fonte distribuída que melhoram o desempenho de codificação de dados, tal como codificação de dados de vídeo, quando erros ou perdas de canal ocorrem. Erros na reconstrução dos dados são eliminados ou reduzidos pelo envio de informação adicional. A correlação entre uma seqüência preditiva e uma seqüência original pode ser utilizada para se projetar os livros-código e encontrar os conjuntos laterais necessários para se representar a imagem original. Essa informação pode ser enviada através de outro canal, ou um canal secundário.
