Abstract

SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA MUDAR OS CANAIS DE TELEVISãO EM UM PROCESSADOR DE SINAL DE VìDEO Um sistema e/ou método que reduz o tempo de branqueamento entre a mudança de um canal de vídeo para um outro canal de vídeo, particularmente de um canal de vídeo digital O sistema provê o máximo possível do antigo canal de vídeo para exibição até que o vídeo do novo canal é obtido. Particularmente, o sinal de saída de vídeo do canal anterior que fica armazenado em um armazenador temporário de pacotes de vídeo é provido até que o armazenamento temporário de pacotes de vídeo sub-flua (uma condição ou evento de estouro negativo) . Isto é feito enquanto o sistema obtém o novo canal de vídeo (isto é, o seletor no caso de um canal de vídeo analógico ou digital de uma freqüência diferente, ou um filtro de identificador PID de um decodificador de fluxo de transporte de padrão MPEG do mesmo no caso de um sub-canal de vídeo digital do canal de vídeo digital anterior). O branqueamento da saída de vídeo pode ou não ser feito, caso o novo vídeo seja obtido antes de uma condição ou evento de estouro negativo de armazenador temporário de pacotes de vídeo, ou ainda o branqueamento pode ocorrer por apenas um curto período de tempo. Isto representa uma economia de cerca de 400 a 500 ms.
