Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE POLìMEROS DE ESTIRENO EXPANSìVEIS COM CAPACIDADE DE EXPANSãO MELHORADA. A invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de polímeros de estireno expansíveis (EPS), tendo capacidade de expansão melhorada. Uma fusão de polímero de estireno contendo um propelente tendo de 0,1 a 1%, em peso, em relação ao polímero de estireno, de um formador de radical é adicionada em uma temperatura de fusão na faixa de entre 150 a 220<198>C e é extraída por uma placa de bocal, provida com granulação sob a água subseqüente.
