Abstract

USO DE EQUIVALENTES DE ASPARTATO, E, COMPOSIçãO NUTRICIONAL OU FARMACêUTICA A invenção diz respeito ao uso de frações de proteína e/ou peptídeo especificas tendo um alto teor de aspartato para regular concentrações de glicose no plasma e aumentar sensibilidade à insulina em um mamífero. Foi descoberto que quantidades altas de equivalentes de aspartato, especialmente na ausência relativa de equivalentes de glutamato, aumentam a captação de glicose pelas células periféricas e melhoram a reação do fígado no consumo de glicose dietética. Como um resultado, isto tem um efeito favorável sobre os níveis de glicose do sangue de uma pessoa que sofre de hiperglicemia, em particular hiperglicemia e/ou resistência à insulina pós prandial e pós cirurgia. A invenção diz respeito a um alimento completo fortificado com equivalentes de aspartato assim como um suplemento rico em equivalentes de aspartato que é dado simultaneamente com ou ainda minutos até uma hora antes do consumo de uma refeição que compreenda glicose.
