Abstract
COMPOSIçõES DE POLIETILENO BIMODAL A presente invenção descreve várias composições, incluindo, porém sem limitações, uma composição de polietileno bimodal de alta resistência, tendo um peso específico de 0,940 g/cm¬ ³¬ ou mais, sendo que a composição compreende um componente de polietileno de alto peso molecular e um componente de polietileno de baixo peso molecular, onde: a razão do peso molecular ponderal média do componente de alto peso molecular (HMW) para o pesa molecular ponderal médio do componente de baixo peso molecular (LMW) (MwHMW:MwLMW) é 30 ou mais; e a composição se qualifica como um material PE 100, de tal modo que, de acordo com a norma ISO 1167, um tubo produzido a partir da composição, que é submetida a uma resistência interna do tubo tenha uma tensão extrapolada de 10 MPa ou mais, quando a curva de resistência interna do tuba é extrapolada para 50 ou 100 anos, de acordo com a norma ISO 9080:2003(E).
