Abstract

POLIPEPTìDEO ISOLADO, POLINUCLEOTìDEO ISOLADO, MéTODO DE MODULAçãO DO NìVEL DE CITOCININA EM PLANTAS, MéTODO DE MODULAçãO DA TAXA OU INCIDêNCIA DE REGENERAçãO DE RAMOS EM TECIDOS DE CALO, CONSTRUCTO DE DNA, VETOR DE EXPRESSãO, MéTODO DE REGULAçãO DA EXPRESSãO DE SEQüêNCIA DE NUCLEOTìDEOS DE INTERESSE E MéTODO DE REGULAçãO DA EXPRESSãO DE ZMLPT1 OU ZMLPT2 EM PLANTAS.A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e composições de modulação do desenvolvimento de plantas. A presente invenção refere-se, ainda, a seqüências polinucleotídicas e seqüências de aminoácidos que codificam polipeptídeos de isopentenil transferase (IPT). As referidas seqüências podem ser usadas em uma variedade de métodos, incluindo a modulação do desenvolvimento de raiz, a modulação do desenvolvimento floral, a modulação do desenvolvimento de folha e/ou ramificação, a modulação da senescência, a modulação do tamanho e/ou peso de semente e da modulação da tolerância de plantas ao estresse abiótico. Também são fornecidos polinucleotídeos compreendendo promotor de IPT. O referido promotor pode ser usado para regular a expressão de seqüências de interesse. Plantas, células e tecidos de plantas e sernentes transformados também são fornecidos.
